UNDER DEVELOPMENT: Low Profile Intake Manifolds

Currently undergoing prototype fitment testing, our intake manifolds will be a 2 part welded design: The runners and flange will be cast A365-T6 Aluminum, then welded to the 1/8" 6061-T6 fabricated plenum. This design was chosen to offer a few major advantages:

• The plenum can be customized to fit different vehicle engine bay size constraints, with no changes in tooling

• The cast intake flange and runners allows us to produce intakes quick, with far lower costs to us and therefore the customer.

• Casting allows detailed runner and inlet curve changes to optimize flow

• Customers will be able to purchase an entire completed intake, or just the flange and runner casting, allowing the end user to build their own intake.

• The Intake will be available with different throttle body flanges to suit.

In addition, the kit will come with an alternator drop bracket that will allow the end user to still keep their Air Conditioning and have the throttle body come out in a much more favorable location to keep good hood clearance. This design choice was made to keep the runners straight and with high flow to the plenum. Competing designs have curves in the runners and angles of runner inlets to the plenum that hurt flow and cause uneven flow distribution between cylinders.

A current fabricated design (that is an exact copy of the eventual casting shape) will be undergoing engine testing in 5 weeks. Once we are happy with flow and performance, casting will start. Expect completed intake to be available mid June.
